Accomplishments

Appointed by Governor Jeff Landry to the Orleans Parish Board of Election Supervisors.

Elected to the Republican State Central Committee for District 7B.

Established a new Republican club in the New Orleans area in Oct 2021–Great New Orleans Republican Women (GNORW).  Guest speakers include state and local officials.

Re-elected incumbent for District C on the Orleans Parish Executive Committee.  Proudly represent the voice of Algiers on the committee.

Revived the Huntlee Village Neighborhood Association (HVNA).  We have actively worked in the Algiers area to provide an arena where citizens can be heard.  Our elected officials listened to the concerns of homeowners along the MacArthur corridor and removed bike lanes that hindered their ability to enter and exit their property, obstructed emergency vehicles, and placed them dangerously close to traffic while parking.  We made a difference by showing up and speaking up!

I am a member of the Algiers Neighborhood Presidents’ Council.

I am an Election Commissioner in Charge in an Algiers precinct.

Worked diligently with Councilman Freddie King, III, to resolve various issues in the area including juvenile justice.

Am a member of the Algiers Neighborhood President’s Council, Algiers Kiwanis, and Algiers Main Street.

Both GNORW and HVNA funded scholarships for safety classes for Orleans Parish women. Both organizations worked together to host a recall event each weekend in the Recall Latoya Cantrell effort.

As an aside, am the descendant of Mayflower Pilgrims–John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley as well as John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.  Am devoted to the freedom to worship for which my forebearers sacrificed so much.  My ancestors were Patriots who fought in every war, and I proudly carry their banner.
